Ripple Reactions offers experiences to help people build a deeper connection to place and community.
Ripple Reactions is built on three driving principles:
Connection, building deeper connections to each other & natural systems
Inclusivity, creating belonging & celebrating diversity
Sustainability, being mindful to the care for our life support system, Earth
Our main program is a travel program in South Africa. What started as a teacher exchange program in 2005 has turned into a tour for anyone interested. We used our three guiding principles in creating this program.

Susan Schuller
Susan is an advocate for a more sustainable and peaceful world. For over two decades she has worked in the environmental education field connecting people to nature locally and globally. As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Tanzania 98-00), she believes in the power of global friendships. Susan holds a Masters of Science (MS) focused in Natural Resources/ Environmental Education from UW-Stevens Point. She has visited over 25 countries and led several overseas travel programs. Susan's day job is Executive Director for Recycling Connections.
Alvin Schuller
Born and raised in South Africa, it is a passion of Alvin's to share cross-cultural experiences and the love of his home country with others. Alvin holds a Masters Degree in Education from UW-Stevens Point. He has led several travel programs for youth and adults in country and overseas including 7 trips to his home country, South Africa. For his day job, Alvin is a mathematics college instructor.
